My Story

I began making soap 7 years ago on a journey to more natural living. Once I discovered the true quality of handmade soap I was hooked. I dove right in and was amazed at the art of it all. With the cheerleading encouragement of wonderful family and friends I decided to make it a mini business. I am so thrilled!
Other than being beautiful, handmade soap still contains glycerin. Glycerin naturally occurs when you make soap. It is also a humectant, meaning it attracts moisture. When you use handmade soap you retain moisture on your skin. Most commercial or store bought soap has had the glycerin removed to use in other products.
I love knowing exactly whats in all my products and soap just fits right in. I pride myself on using nourishing soothing ingredients in all my soaps. Fragrances either come from plant distilled essential oils or phthalate free fragrances.
I make them in small four to eight pound batches in my kitchen. Once they are poured into the mold and cut the following day they must cure (or dry/and harden) for at least 4 weeks. I will update photos of what will be available in the following month.
Thank you for checking out my slingin soap shop website!
Its a daily treat when using handcrafted soap and its also a treat for me to make them.
